This position requires a minimum of 3 years’ experience in export freight with good knowledge and operational experience in the field of customs clearance, freight management and international transport.

Whilst we are looking for someone with experience, we are also looking for someone who is progressive in the way they work and who is flexible to adapt to new working practices.

The role

As an experienced export freight manager, we are looking for someone to join our European / ocean freight export division. This department is responsible for processing clearances and co-ordinating export freight for a number of valuable customers within the company. With an already established team, the role requires someone who can communicate decisively with other colleagues, but also work independently and manage their own time effectively.

Required Skills

  • End-to-end planning on ocean exports
  • Manage both FCL and LCL shipments
  • Be familiar with letters of credit and certificates of origin
  • Experienced in submitting NES declarations
  • Have good knowledge of customs processes and documentation
  • Be able to communicate effectively with shipping lines and hauliers
  • Be competent in computer systems and invoicing procedures

This role is offered with a competitive salary and benefits package.  Whilst mostly office-based within our two-story sociable open plan office, some remote home working is also potentially available.
