What we're looking for

As part of exciting expansion plans for our European road freight division, we are currently looking for an experienced business development manager to join the team from a remote location in Rotterdam (NL).

Whilst our ideal candidate will become a pivotal member of our European team and work in conjunction with our European teams based in Felixstowe, Birmingham and Timisoara (RO), they must also be comfortable working independently and effectively manage their own time.

The role

For this position, we are looking for someone who can ‘hit the ground running’ and quickly develop a portfolio of new business for our European road freight division.

Our ideal candidate will be confident sitting face-to-face with customers and be highly motivated to generate new leads and opportunities.

Required Skills

  • A proven track record of successfully targeting and acquiring new business
  • Have excellent managerial skills
  • Be able to manage their own working time effectively
  • Have strong communication skills
  • Be confident selling George Baker Group services
  • Experienced in managing major accounts for large logistics firms
  • Have strong knowledge of the European road freight industry
